Speaker Sherita Hill Golden, M.D. is is the Hugh P. McCormick Family Professor of Endocrinology and Metabolism and Vice President and Chief Diversity Officer at Johns Hopkins Medicine in Baltimore. Her epidemiological research interests focus on two areas: endogenous sex hormones as risk factors for heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and insulin resistance in postmenopausal women; and mental health complications of diabetes and the biological, hormonal, and behavioral factors that might explain these associations.
