Description:	The ICF is a classification of health reflecting functional impairments, activity limitations, and participation restrictions. The ICF is published by the World Health Organization, and it works in tandem with WHO’s diagnostic classifications, the ICD-9-CM and ICD-10. The Institute of Medicine recommended broader implementation of ICF in American disability statistics systems in its report The Future of Disability in America (2007). This ICF Conference brings to the NIH Campus the nation’s leading scientists and practitioners who are applying ICF classification in physical medicine and rehabilitation, gerontology, pediatrics, and allied health disciplines such as Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech-Language Pathology.
